In March 10, SpaceX announced the shipment to Ukraine of a second batch of hundreds of Starlink kits, terminals and antennas to connect to the Internet via Elon Musk’s new constellation of satellites. This time, the company has thought of including solar chargers, connectors for cigarette lighter sockets, batteries and electric generators, essential to connect when the traditional electricity network is disrupted or cut. A few days earlier, during a videoconference interview, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had thanked, then invited the American boss to visit the country “after the war”, and even discussed “space projects” with him.

However laudable it may be, Elon Musk’s approach puts the U.S. at immense risk.
