According to the far-right candidate, “a great power like France” must “rely on its own sources of information”.
To support her remarks, Marine Le Pen cited the example of the American military intervention in Iraq in 2003, “based on American intelligence”. “They were convinced, vial in hand, that there were chemical weapons in Iraq and it turned out later that there were none,” she said.
