This Wednesday, December 15, at noon, the Sakharov Prize will be awarded to Daria Navalnaya at the European Parliament in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin). The daughter of Russian political opponent Alexey Navalny will receive the title awarded to her father, currently imprisoned in the Pokrov penal colony.
A political figure committed against the political regime of Vladimir Putin and anti-corruption activist, Alexeï Navalny was awarded the Sakharov Prize for freedom of thought awarded by the European Parliament on October 20.

A poisoning attempt in 2020
Known for his filmed investigations into the corruption of elites in Russia, the number one opponent of Vladimir Putin had his candidacy for the 2018 presidential election rejected.
