The French international Benjamin Mendy, targeted by several charges of rape and imprisoned in England, was released on bail this Friday, January 7.
The Manchester City defender, charged with a total of seven rapes and one sexual assault, has been placed under judicial supervision.
The 27-year-old, who had been in pre-trial detention for five months, will have to appear for his hearing scheduled for January 24 in Chester (north-west of England).
He will then have to announce to the court whether he intends to plead guilty or not guilty to the charges against him.
The hearing should also confirm the date of his trial, scheduled for June 27, or August 1.
Benjamin Mendy was also assured that an arrest warrant would be issued against him if he did not appear in court.
