The 27-year-old YouTuber posted a photo of himself with his new acquisition around his neck on social media, accompanied by a man described as a representative of the Guinness World Record.
According to Konbini, only 39 such cards were awarded in a contest by the Japanese magazine CoroCoro in 1998. There are 24 left in circulation.
900,000 dollars for the previous record
To obtain this new card, Logan Paul would have exchanged another “Pikachu Illustrator” rated 9/10 by PSA – the largest official certifier -, worth 1,275,000 dollars, and would have added 4 million dollars to obtain the one. with a score of 10.
The old record was from earlier this year. The amount was 900,000 dollars (825,000 euros). The price difference can be explained in particular because it was rated 7 out of 10 by PSA.
