Engaged with the Ukrainian army to face the Russian forces, actor Pasha Lee, 33, died following the bombings in the town of Irpin, north of Kiev.

He had announced on Instagram his joining the TDF (Territorial defense forces of the armed forces of Ukraine) less than a week ago.

The actor died after a mortar fire hit the town of Irpin on Sunday. The attack also decimated a couple and their two children, a teenager and an 8-year-old girl.

Also known by the pseudonyms of Pavlo Li or Pasha Li, he had played a few roles in Ukrainian films such as the thriller The Pit (2006), the comedy #Selfieparty (2016) and the action film The Fight Rules (2017). He was also a dubbing actor on big Hollywood productions like The Lion King (2019) or The Hobbit film series.
