After more than two months of conflict, the Ukrainians seem to be regaining control of the clashes. In Kharkiv, the Russian soldiers were forced to retreat.

For nearly two months, this region was occupied by the Russian army, but today the Ukrainian soldiers are once again holding their position.

Several columns of Russian armor were destroyed by anti-tank launchers. The Ukrainian counter-offensive intensified in early May, pushing Russian forces 40 kilometers east of Kharkiv.

This new Russian rout comes on top of that of kyiv more than a month ago. Kharkiv, the big city in the east of the country, is no longer within reach of Russian artillery.
