Paris arrives at the second place in the world. This year, Parisians have spent 140 hours on average in traffic jams. It’s 25 hours less than in 2020, yet the capital has dropped from sixth to second place this year.

This significant traffic is partly linked to the 42% drop in RATP users in the first half of 2021 compared to 2019. In June 2021, public transport ridership was still 26% lower compared to the figures for June 2019 .

Despite the impressive figures presented in the report, the ten most congested cities in 2021 saw their total hours spent in traffic jams decrease.
